Local Author to Release Second Children’s Series in Fall 2014
Central Texas (June 18, 2014)- Local author and founder of Daughters of Truth, Deborah B. Meyer, is excited to announce the upcoming release of the first book in the Brazos Boys series, Meet the Brazos Boys.
Meet The Brazos Boys…
A tale of a grandfather and his grandsons…
On a Texas ranch, through work and adventure, tears and laughter, they discover God’s magnificent creation!
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His great power.” Ephesians 6:10 (ICB)
Every moment is a teaching opportunity…
After introducing The Butterfly Girls, friends and family requested a similar series for boys, teaching the truth of God’s precepts. My husband and I were fortunate to have had the opportunity to rear our two children on a ranch in McLennan County, which provided them with wonderful and exciting adventures as they explored God’s creation. One of the most beautiful attributes of Central Texas is the great Brazos River. The original name of the river was “Los Brazos de Dios”, which means “the arms of God”. Legends suggest that the river was discovered by desperately thirsty explorers after arriving in the new land. (Hendrickson 2010)
The Brazos Boys acquired their name from the mighty river, which flows as an instrument of God’s magnificent creation. May we always teach our children the truth about our Almighty God; may our sons and grandsons grow to be strong and mighty men, living and serving as the strong arms of God!
