Celebrating Sixty

“May He equip you with all you need for doing His will.  May He produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to Him.  All glory to Him forever and ever!  Amen.”  Hebrews 13:21 NLT

I have discovered in my sixty years that there is unequivocally, absolutely no better place to be than exactly where God has placed you…the location which He has designed for you…the timing of His purpose in your life…in other words…in the center of His will! It has little to do with the immediate circumstances…(for which I thank God daily for the many blessings in my life)…but, rather all to do with the Great God Almighty who equips us and empowers us for His purposes…for His Kingdom and His glory.  It has all to do with living in the moment of relationship with Him…breathing in His presence, His power, and His promise…then…overflowing His abundance into the moments and hours of the day…into the people with whom we do life with!

Today, on this day, the first one to wish me a birthday blessing was sweet Jesus…The One who sings over His kids…(Zephaniah 3:17)  The One who sets us free as we follow after Him…as we run after Him, just as children run after their parents…parents, who are so careful to not lead too quickly…the One who stops and kneels down to carry the hurt or the injured child…the One who celebrates the successes and the victories with His children…the One who makes it all possible…Hmmmmm…Yes, that is the Jesus we know…the Jesus we love!

Today, on this day, I know that I have entered the Promised Land…I count any reader as a blessing in my life…as I add you to the long list of precious people whom God has brought into my spectrum of community!

As I celebrate Sixty…I thank God for each one of you who believe in Yeshua Christ…and for each one who is being drawn to Him…I pray that we continue to abide in and live in accordance with His teachings…and that His Truth will shine forth in your lives, in my life…knowing that His Truth will free us from the clutter, the clatter, and the chatter of this world.
